GRIP AND ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT
-Michael Fels specializes in the Grip & Electric Department. He uses this knowledge to make gear estimates, gear rental suggestions, and to create both artistic, safe, and time efficeint lighting set ups. Michael can also safely pack a truck/van with gear and organize and manage a gear list/truck as a Best Boy.
-Michael’s experience in the grip and electric department allows for dialogue between departments that lead to realistic schedules. His experience also allows for a clear conversation with any rental companies and/or heads of the lighting department about how long the next lighting set up will take.
-When it comes to the Grip and electric department efficiency and safety are key to Michael. Listening and anticipating the needs of the director of photography is also a priority.
-Michael considers the safety of all the people involved and works hard to ensure the structural stability of all lighting set ups. Michael has passed an (OSHA) Occupatonal Saftey and Hazard Assocation course as well as an arial saftey lift course
